The vet here is a rude old man who doesn't seem to give a toss about your feelings or your poor animals , In my opinion he's not fit to be a vet , And I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I had my choice .

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Fran and all the girls that helped us out yesterday with Nellie. Very stressful, but helped greatly by all of you, woof from Nellie 🐾

Receptionist was extremely rude, zero compassion. Didn't seem to want to listen to anything I had to say. My Dog had 2 of the same kind of lumps that needed removing, instead or removing both they just removed the bigger 1. The smaller 1 will no doubt now grow into a larger lump which will need to be removed in the near future, which means ANOTHER aneasthetic and more stress for not only my poor Dog but, for me.

Took my much loved little rat melba here for a very simple lump removal and she passed away because of it, we called the vets asking for an explanation of why she could’ve died e.g maybe they used too much anaesthetic and they said they’d get back to us, they never did. Absolutely horrific and left heartbroken.

My cat has had 2 operations now for the same thing. I explained that I was working when he had his first operation but now I'm not and asked if there was a payment plan and was told no. I totally understand that it's a business but when you can't afford £459 every time. I think they should have an option for installments as not everyone has that kind of money

We sadly had to have our lovely dog put to sleep . The vet was a old man who I found not at all friendly and completely uncaring a terrible experience made much worse.

Horrific experience. I have a blind scared frenchie. Took him to vet today for first time to this practice, I know how to handle my dog but was told to put his treats down which I hold and let him lick so he doesn’t focus on the vet. He snarled and was very unhappy while I held him tight to stop him biting . The vet didn’t reassure him, speak to him or offer him a treat to calm him . The consulting room is open to all the sick animals in cages crying and making lots of noise, to a blind dog that scary . As the chairman of a rescue I can honestly say that’s the worst experience I’ve ever had at the vets . The vet was either Australian or South African with absolutely no compassion, I’d hate to leave any of my dogs in his care . Walked out and told the reception to keep their prescription, . My poor dog is traumatised. When your dogs blind the world is a scary place

Bought our two white kittens, Phantom and Ghost in to be neutered on Thursday. The staff were very friendly and informative. Kittens home within the day and both happy and healthy. Taking Phantom back to have her stitches removed on Monday. Would recommend.

Always a fantastic service from a fantastic vet, with amazing nurses to assist with every need. A very hygienic and friendly environment makes this practice everything I need for my pets. Thank you to all of the team.

Well, what can I say... I've never before been greeted with such hostility and unprofessional behaviour. No compassion or sympathy towards my family during what was going to be one of the hardest days of our lives... the day we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog. I had the phone call to say the vet wanted to put her down at 10:30... and that he did not really want to wait an extra 30 minutes on a Sunday, despite the fact she is in no pain, but he reluctantly agreed... I arrived 15 minutes early expecting to say my goodbyes. The surgery was unlocked at the main entrance, but empty, my arrival set off the alarms to my surprise... I waited outside and 10 minutes later the vet drove angrily up to the entrance, stormed in, turned off the alarm and aggressively told me he would be back when he was suppose to be there... he sped off leaving us shocked and even more emotional. He then turned up 20 minutes after we expected him, made no eye contact with us, demanded we put the dog on the table next to the injection... at that moment we took our baby straight out the door and to a compassionate, caring surgery that have been profession and sympathetic from the start... she's comfortable and warm, and still managing to wag her tail, and is in great company... but she still has to go to doggy heaven... my heart brakes, but I'm so pleased Hatchmoor vets and this hostile man will not be her last memory... my beautiful girl deserves so much more
